Federal officials testified at a House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee hearing examining a Government Accountability Office (GAO) report on the oversight of dangerous pathogens at high-containment bio-research labs. GAO chief scientist Timothy Persons detailed the key findings and recommendations of his agency’s report.
